There are several TV options in Qatar, including cable and satellite services with a number of English language stations and packages. You do not need a TV license in Qatar.
Qatar Television is the state-run broadcaster in the country. It has two main channels: one in Arabic and one in English.
Doha is also home to satellite TV channel Al-Jazeera, which was originally owned and financed by the Qatari government but has evolved into an independent news corporation. Al Jazeera's Arabic and English news and sports stations are broadcast in Doha.

Ooredoo is the main provider of cable television in Doha. Its cable TV service is called Mozaik TV+. Mozaik packages include a landline phone and internet access, and start from QR 250 per month. To sign up for Mozaik TV visit an Ooredoo shop with your Qatari ID and complete an application form. Pay Per View and channel packages – such as Asian or sports packages – are also available.
Satellite providers in Doha include OSN, Al Muftah Group and StarLink. All three providers offer online subscription services.

Vodafone and Ooredoo offer broadband Internet for homes, as well as postpaid and pre-paid mobile Internet. At the time of writing, broadband through Ooredoo starts at QR 233 (1 Mbps) to QR 650 (100 Mbps), or QR 250 (1 Mbps) to QR 700 (100 Mbps) if bundled with TV services. Broadband through Vodafone starts at QR 200 (5 Mbps) to QR 550 (100 Mbps) with free home phone service. Installation fees range from QR 199 (Ooredoo) with a 3-month minimum subscription.
