Mozambique is passionate about soccer (football) and their national team, the Os Mambas competes often in continent-wide tournaments. Though they are far from one of the best teams in Africa, Mozambique does send a number of star players to Portugal to play professionally.
Stadiums
Maputo's primary stadium is the Estádio do Zimpeto. It sits 42, 000 people and is located just north of Maputo. The Atheltico Maputo Stadium is a secondary stadium that sits 20,000 people.
The Accra Sports (Ohene Djan) Stadium sits 40,000 people and is used primarily for soccer (football) matches.
