Banks are generally opened from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, and to 5:00 pm on Fridays. To obtain details on the different offers of each one you can consult the following web sites:

It is quite easy to open an account in Australia. You need an address in Australia, a passport or an identity card, a driver's licence (international licence is OK). If you still have no address you can in the interim give your home country address or the address of the bank.

The monthly fees of the Australian banks are around 4 $AUD.
