SOFO stands for “South of Folkungagatan” and has become on of Stockholm’s trendiest ares. Located south of Folkungagatan and east of Götgatan on Södermalm, here you will find a huge selection of stores and cafés. GAMLA STAN is home to many small boutiques and is the place to head for if you’re loking for Swedish handicrafts, souvenirs or a cozy café: Chokladkoppen on Stortorget square is a good starting point. ÖSTERMALM is the neighbourhood for fashion and international brands like Kookaï, DonDonna, Filippa K, GUCCI, ARMANI and RIZZO. On Biblioteksgatan you will find the city’s most exclusive boutiques gathered in one place. Antique shops and art galleries abound in this discrict and the pleasant stroll down Strandvägen is recommended. The UPPER EAST area is one of Stockholm’s most fashionable and stretches along the entire Karlavägen, as well as two blocks in every direction. It’s full of shops and cafés. Chic clothes and interior decorating are two of this neighbourhood’s trademarks.

BRUNO on Götgatsbacken is Södermalm’s newest mall and houses stores such as Filippa K, Ljunggren, We, Whyred, Munteh Plus Simonsen, Way, Stuk, David Design, and Homerun. Thirty-nine stores, including Paul & Friends, SOLO, SAKS, Face Stockholm and Granit make up VÄSTERMALMSGALLERIAN on Kungsholmen. The old NK department store on Hamngatan has been a fixture since 1902 and is worth a visit. But PUB is Stockholm’s oldest department store, on Hötorget square. The newly renovated GALLERIAN on Hamngatan offers many stores, salons, and restaurants.
