The national newspapers Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet and Dagens Industri are particularly important sources for job adverts, their internet editions can be accessed via the following site:

Another useful avenue would be to consult the popular and extensive website of the Swedish National Labour Market Board (Swedish only):

At least basic knowledge of Swedish will be required for most jobs in Stockholm. Indeed nearly all the job descriptions at www.arbetsformedlingen.se are in Swedish. If you have highly sought-after skills or experience this will make the language issue less of a factor. The following web site is for English-speaking professionals looking for jobs in Stockholm:

Make sure you have copies of relevant degree certificates or diplomas with you to support four job application. You can have access to the Internet at the Stockolm employment offices if needed. Be active, don’t hesitate to contact employers directly even if they’re not advertising vacancies (this is common in Sweden). Be open to commuting to other towns to increase your chances of finding work. Swedish job applications usually consist of a personal letter and a CV using simple language and layout. The personal letter should not be longer than one page and ought to be tailored to the specific position your applying for. You don’t want to give the impression that this is just another job application you’re sending out. Your CV should be well structured and it’s important to draw attention to your skills, professional experience, education and professional achievements. Your CV can extend to several pages if you’ve been working for some time.

The European Job Mobility Portal contains lists of vacancies, allows you to post your CV, and also provides information about living and working conditions in Sweden.
