    The historic Swiss operator Swisscom is charged to set up the landline connection (3 days minimum delay ). The connection costs 43 CHF. The subscription for the landline is 25,25 CHF/month (price). You can register directly on their Internet website.

    You will get by mail a direct debit form attached to the bill. In order to pay you can choose to send a cheque, or to pay by direct debit via the Internet. If you choose to pay electronically, you have several possibilities. You can also check your invoice status online.

    Fares (2005) are:

    Landline Normal fare Reduce fare
      Monday-Friday, 08.00 - 17.00 Monday-Friday, 17.00 - 08.00 + Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays
    Fare CHF 0.08/Min. CHF 0.04/Min.

    Every evening and during weekends, you can call 1 full hour in all Switzerland for just one franc (see Swisscom offers).

    The dial code for Switzerland is 41.
