We plan to organize day trips and excursions for expats living in Athens to get to know the Greek nature and culture and we would love to know if you would be interested in such a service and what your needs are!

    Hello,

Maybe you can give a bit more information on the service you are thinking of setting up? Currently it is very vague.
You are saying that you organise already trips, so isn't it a disguised advertising for an existing service?

I don't know if you can call it advertising, but it is what it sais. We have a not-for-profit social enterprise and organize such trips for Greeks to interact through culture, have a good time and meet new people. For the first time we think of organizing this service for foreigners also and we wanted to ask them what their needs are, as definitely the foreigners have a different mentality and travel needs than the Greeks. If such a service is not allowed to be made known of through this forum we don't mind at all removing it.

Ah, ok. So currently it is for Greeks that you have been organising and now you want to expand to visitors/foreigners/expats.
In other words the question could be: "Are visitors/expats interested by trips and excursions organised around nature and culture?". I will post it on Twitter.

    Thanks dear Cyril.

Yes, it is as you say, but these excursions will be meant for foreigners/expats living in Greece and their visiting friends, not so much for tourists, although no one is excluded of course if one wishes to join. We make it clear that we are not a travel agency and our aim is to meet in person and interact with the people who share our country with us. We have the vision to offer to them the means to visit places of great interest and natural beauty off-the-beaten track in an organized and yet relaxed way, the same way we Greeks travel every weekend around Athens to get to know our country and its culture better.

So the real questions of this post, if we wanted to make them clearer to our future guests, would be something like:

    1. Would you prefer to travel organized in a bus or in smaller groups in shared private cars?
    2. Would you prefer one day or two days excursions and why?
    3. In our excursions we plan to combine cultural guided tours with gastronomy tours, guided hiking tours, body and mind exercise in nature and whenever possible an art event. Which of those activities would interest you the most?
    4. Is the cost crucial to you, i.e. whenever we include accommodation would you prefer to stay in a budget hotel or in a more luxury hotel?

I hope now the idea of our post is more clear and detailed and can be answered by each one individually. Of course, we still honor our first more general question about your needs. Please share with us any needs or ideas you have for these excursions which we will design with all our love for you, the "visitors" of our country ( visitors in the only sense that you were not born here, otherwise we are totally aware of the fact that most of you are more Greeks than the Greeks, which is exactly the reason why we are planning so eagerly to launch this service and get to know you).
