I am an Indian living and working in Germany. My girlfriend is a Bulgarian also working in Germany. We both want to get married this year. On enquiring from local Standesamt, we were told that I need a "Ehefahigkeitszeugnis". But it is almost impossible to get in from India. For this reason we decided to look for other possible Marriage Destinations.

Regarding Denmark, Which documents do we really need apart from Birth certificate and a registration document from Germany.

Do we need an Affidavit stating that we are single? If yes, can anyone(Indian) please inform me where to get in India and if it is possible.

    Thanks

HI, a friend on mine got married in DK, she German, he US-American. All they needed was their passports.
About the "Ehefähigkeitszeugnis", my husband needed on, as he is from Sri Lanka. But Germany is not acepting any documents from Sri Lanka without checking it proper (takes months) though we got married in Sri Lanka, was easier. But I don't know how it works with India.

Hi Blaze, congratiolations on your wedding!!
EU nationals need a Visum for India, but it might be different, as she is married to an indian national. Check out the homepages of the Indian Embassy in Germany and Bulgaria.
Good luck and all the best!!!!!

First of all, is your future spouse Danish? You should get to the town hall to get all information.
