If you do not have family in Poland that you can reunite with, there are a few ways to extend the residence card related to work or studies, such as:
-Starting or continuing work in Poland;
-Working as a highly skilled employee (the Blue Card);
-Working as a delegate of a foreign company;
-Starting a business in Poland;
-Pursuing higher education studies in Poland (as well as language courses prior to studies);
-Academic research in Poland;
