Happy to hear about your desire to live in Cameroun...lol
Is a very Nice place and even do a growed up in Europe... I enjoy been here...
The cost of live is very low if you Want to life a simple anh healfy life...lol
You need about 20€/day to live on...is a good average for you...some time more...some time less than ...
    For having a house...you need about 20 000€ for a small plot And a small house...lol
Is better to build a house than buy because many people are not keeping it well...
I m sure that you will spend nice time there... Lol
I hope that you got me!!
I m a french speacking lady but cameroon is a bilingual country...!!! :(

    About moving...
Is far better for you to live on or arround Yaounde or Douala...
You can rent a car and go where ever you want...but it will be safe for you to have somebody by your side who can help you to deal with people every where you go...if you want to spend one year here...is a great idea...!!!...you just need some arrangements...and be very careful when you will be about to make any major financial transaction. ....
Above all...you will really be happy to live there....lol

    Regards :p

    Hello !!!
Concerning founding un job...you have To apply normally but the salary may not be what you are expecting even in private school...so better have some money to live on...and not really expecting to work money here enough to meet your needs...
Cameroon is a save ground for many business. ..but be a worker here didn't pay much...
If i'm around...why not helping you?...
I 'm here since more than 15 years.....
    If I can be a help for you....it will be a joy...lol

    Hi!!
In fact...far far more than 5 years....if like me you love a simple way of live.
Let's us say 500€/month...some time even less...some time more of you are travelling. ...
If I can advise you to pay a plot and have a farm...you can have your meat..chicken. ..vegetables...fruits...by yourself...lol....
And invest some of the money. ..money is better when is growing....lol
Try to know first when you want to live....
I'm teaching arts and crafts in some schools during school year..if you want to teach ...I .ca help you to give out your cv....
There is so many things to do arround children....!!!
Anyway....with 100 000€....you will have many many years to live here.....
Take time to travel arround the country....!!!...

I would like to start a B&B cause I speak English, French, German, Dutch and Portuguese and I am a good coock so I can make it people very comfortable when they stay in Cameroon.

And maybe there is a possibilitie I can teach a little bit and help the kids in Cameroon. I have already some friends in Yaounde, they told me that Yaounde is a good place to live nd there is a lot to do.

I want all to arrange in 2 2 1/2 year at least.

Do you live alone or with other people in Yaounde ? I live with my mum and i want to take her with me, so that she can have a good old day in a warm country, here it is often very cold with even ice on the water. Minus 5 or even `10.

I hope to hear soon from you I am gratefull that you want to help me. What kind of schools are there in Yaounde ? I saw there are also International schools. I now work with autistic kids. Kind regards

    B&B is a good idea...
But around yaounde...in a green place...
Schools are there...I just told you about small salary. ..there is school...
I think that I gave you the best advises that I could do. ...if you have friends in yaounde. ..that you known well....is good...they will help you ad they started...just be careful when you will about to spend money...even do surrounding by "friends"....
I said it again and again...
My fear was to think about you alone in Cameroon. ...lol...
    But if you have friends...ok...
    So come...they will help you...
    It 's ok....
Your mum will surely love staying here....

According to me...you shouldn't talk about many things at the same time...you have to choice...whether your start by teaching. ..lol...or your start your B&B project...
I managed a restaurant some years ago...is much work...
Teaching...is a commitment. ..I don't really think that you can do both at the same time ...maybe...but in a new country better start somewhere and do every things step by step...
    Anyway....
For the B&B...many tourists don't like yaounde...is a dirty town...they prefere to go in some other regions...so you should follow where money is...lol
