Hi I am a non EU resident, I hold a carte de sejour for saissonier meaning I can work 6 months of the year. I am about to lose my job and wanted to know if I am able to claim the chomage? I have worked over 4 months at 39 hours a week declared so I should have the time built up but no one seems to be able to give me an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

In theory you should have worked as a saisonnier under a CDD contract, which gives you rights to the unemployment benefits:

In order to get rights to unemployment benefits you must have worked at least 4 months during the last 28 months (source).

Does it matter if my carte de sejour says "saissonier"? Does anyone have any information about this? I have had mixed feedback. I have worked more than 4 months in the last year so I should technically meet all the criteria.

The Contrat saisonnier is a CDD (contrat à durée déterminée) but there is no need to have a specific end date, however the season must be specified in that case. That is all, otherwise, it has all CDD characteristics.
