Public telephone network is managed by TeleCOM Italia, ASST, Wind and Infostrade. You can do local as well as international calls using public pay phones.

You can send a text-message by dialling 186 (or from any post office). Public pay phones use cards that you can buy from newsagents, post offices, or Telecom agencies for example.

By dialing 176, you will get information on prices, phone codes, etc. The service is available 24/7.

For information on services, network and rates dial 800-020020 (International Contact Point), from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm. Italian and English.
