Sport and Activities

Hong Kong is not attractive only for its tax policies but also for its sports and activities.
Due to its location as well, bordered by water, you will have access to very nice watersports but you can also do anything like fencing, basketball, windsurfing, golf or snooker.

Watersports

You will get everything like diving, water-skiing, windsurfing and of course swimming at some beautiful beaches.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of some popular places for watersports in Hong Kong:

Golf

Golf is one of the most popular sports in Hong kong and Hong Kong possesses the oldest golf court in Asia!

Here is a non-exhaustive list of some golf courts around Hong Kong:

Hong Kong is also very well made for jogging and you will find jogging trailers everywhere and some very uniques ones too.

You can also do some more unusual activities like bird watching, fishing or horseracing. Needless to say that fishing in Hong Kong is not quite to be the same experience as when you go to the pond next door, back home.

Hiking and rock climbing

These two activities are two fairly recent activities in Hong Kong but they are certainly worth it as the environment in Hong Kong is superb to practice them.
You can find excellent hiking trails at different levels and for instance the Dragonsback Trail or Hong Kong Trail on Hong Kong Island are quite accessible. For people more experienced, they might want to check out the Sharp’s Peak trail in Sai Kung.

For rock climbing Rock climbing you have popular venues like Beacon Hill in Kowloon or Shek O on Hong Kong Island. You can get to more experienced climbing at Victoria Peak, just above Central and you can do both traditional and bolted climbing. For indoor climbing, a good place to try is the King’s Park climbing wall in Yau Ma.
