Electricity is provided through the Electricity Company of Ghana, a nationally-owned entity. Customers have the option to either pre-pay or post-pay, and the company will install a corresponding meter, if it does not exist at the property already. Customers are responsible for paying for the installation of the meter, any maintenance fees.
Ghana electrical outlets emit 230V, 50Hz. The country uses both Type D and Type G outlets.
