Many students decide to volunteer overseas during a gap year. It is a wonderful
way of gaining valuable experience and many times it is something the student
never forgets. Even people who are long past student age often volunteer overseas.
No matter what your age or circumstances, volunteering is a great way to meet
other people and the work, while often hard, can be very rewarding. voluntary
services are usually coordinated by a non-profit or public sector organization,
and ordinarily do not pay any wages, although you may have your expenses covered.
However, you may receive a living wage, accommodations or a small amount of
money for personal care.
