    International healthcare, medical insurance

    Last update: 16/05/2008

Insurance plans go from excellent almost full-coverage to very poor plans that make the patient pay for just about everything. Insurance tends to be very expensive in America, but it is impossible to enter the country without it and in case of emergency it is especially essential. Many plans are offered through companies for their employees and usually offer the best coverage with automatic deductions being made out of their paycheck.

If the company you are employed with does not offer this program, insurance can be purchased independently from a number of providers. Primera, Blue Shield and Chicago Health Insurance all offer a variety of options. The Yellow Pages have a complete listing of insurance companies in your area. Check into plans carefully to be clear on exactly what you are covered for and what kinds of co-pays are expected.

Travel insurance is a good option if you are planning on just visiting another country. Travel Insurance ensures the safety and worry-free nature of your trip. Without appropriate travel insurance, you may be exposed to significant financial liability. Websites like World Wide Insure and Patriot Insurance have excellent websites in which you may purchase insurance on-line.
