I recommend setting up a meet-up in Rome and connecting with other expat meet-ups in Italy. You can connect with expats here on the forum, through expat blogs in Italy (including our expat interviewees like Rome... if you want to)). Also connect through the expat network in Italy.

You could also share info about your internship for other interested members looking for work in Italy.
